My name is Bianca Borges and I have worked with some very nice stuff (and some not that nice). First, I got a degree in Data Processing, which I left behind right after a year of working with it, what led me to my second degree, Bachelor in Languages Portuguese-English, from my always beloved UFRJ (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro). I enjoyed teaching English and Translation for 10 years, but decided to go for new adventures. I ended up as a public servant, working for the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil.
Since I was completely in love with Fashion and Style, I learned how to sew by myself from books and practicing with my sewing machine. After a summer course in Fashion Design, in 2014, I decided to take it seriously and graduated as a Technician in Fashion Design at Escola Superior de Disseny i Moda Felicidad Duce, in Barcelona, 2016. Also, for the passion I have for accessories, I could satisfy an old desire of learning jewelry, by studying for a year in Escola de Joieria JORGC, also in Barcelona.
Another passion I have which drives my work and inspires me most is to travel. Being around the globe has taught me that there are a thousand ways of living, that there are so many groups and cultures that manifest themselves in so many different ways when they get dressed and present themselves to the world. This is an endless lesson about others and, at the bottom, about myself.
By launching this platform, I take my next step: to broaden my reach as a fashion and style consultant, be it through the texts I am gonna publish here, the tips I am publishing in Instagram, or the private consulting sessions I am offering.
